How ThriveCart Works: From Product Setup to Checkout and Fulfillment

A plain-English walkthrough of how ThriveCart connects products, checkout, payment processing, offers, and fulfillment.

Editorial independence: Checkout Craft is an independent publication and is not ThriveCart. Some links are affiliate links, which may earn us a commission.

1. Create the offer

A seller creates a product or offer and defines how customers pay: one-time, subscription, split pay, or another supported billing structure.

2. Build the checkout path

The checkout is customized to match the brand, then optional revenue mechanics such as a bump, upsell, downsell, coupon, or test can be added depending on the plan and offer.

3. Connect payment and automation

A payment processor handles the transaction. Integrations or automation routes customer data to email, fulfillment, analytics, membership, or other systems.

4. Deliver and manage the customer

After payment, the buyer can be routed to digital fulfillment, course access, or another destination. Subscription businesses then manage renewals, retries, cancellations, and plan changes according to the capabilities in their tier.
